I have had PCOS most of my life but have had regular cycles, although they have been painful, huge cramps & all the rest that comes with PCOS during these monthly cycles. This year however I have had very irregular cycles with some lasting for up to 8 weeks straight of bleeding. During these weeks the flow is not always the same but is constant for 6-8 weeks. I have been to get ultrasounds & internal scans but there seems to be no large cysts & I havent felt any sharp pains that may be associated with a burst cyst. Has anyone else had anything similar? I am 39 this year & wondering if my hormones are going a little crazy now that Im getting older??
