I have had a couple of people ask me what the deal is with Kiva loans I sometimes post here, and the video below describes it succinctly. In times when we feel helpless to do anything about the troubles of people in war zones, disease afflicted nations etc. one of the things you can do is provide a loan to help people get back on their feet, or to give them opportunities to build the economy of their nation. Reducing poverty is the single best thing we can do to help people around the world.
