I have had several people inquire about what the blowout (deshed) treatment entails. The dog is bathed with shed control shampoo and conditioner, and then blown out with a heavy duty dryer to get rid of excess hair. It is then brushed out for the better part of an hour to continue removing the undercoat. It is designed to interrupt the shed cycle and significantly reduce the amount of hair coming off the dog. With the first treatment, it lasts 4 to 6 weeks. Once the dog is on a schedule with it it can last longer. Also included in the deshed is eye and ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and nail trim.
