I have had so many people ask me why I have not posted my reaction - TopicsExpress

I have had so many people ask me why I have not posted my reaction to the news of Robin Williams. Truth be known I have dealt with depression ever since I was 6 years old after seeing my Mom take her own life, and die from a overdose of pain medications. Yes, I been diagnosed with genetic depression, and yes I have at times throughout my life entertained or thought about taking my life. But every time I thought about it, I was reminded of all the family and friends who have always been there for me. I am especially grateful and thankful for the love and support from all my friends when my Father passed away back in 2007. When I found out that I have hereditary cancer a couple of years ago, I have to this very day reminded myself that I have faced many, many, many life events and challenges through out my life. Now we can either face challenges head on, or fear them and give in. I have come this far and I absolutely refuse to give in, and because of that will power I accept this challenge and any other challenges in the future with a determined fierceness, and never ending perseverance. Finally my heart, thoughts, and prayers goes to those who were touched by the loving, extraordinary talent of Robin Williams. Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy. But please dont let unexpected life changing events take away your power to be free and live. Taking your life is never the answer. The minute you think about it, think of those who still love you then you have everything, and everyone to live for. R.I.P. Mork.
