I have had some of the sweetest time with my dear old dad. There is a line on Steven Curtis Chapman’s new record where he quotes C.S. Lewis. The line say’s there’s a day that is coming when all the sad things will be made untrue. I feel as if I have tasted a bit of that already. When you are nearing the end of the life of so huge a person as your father, it shakes you to the core. Sometimes I feel like all the solid places in my life are turning to liquid. It makes stirs memories long stashed away. All the precious things about my father have overtaken me. I gladly yield to their power, grace, and healing. All the sad things are beginning to become untrue. I don’t know how long I will have him. He is stable, but not well. The kindness that has been poured out is just amazing. I find myself both sad and ineffably grateful. Thank you for the sweet prayers dear friends. Life is so Precious.
