I have just descended from the upstairs area of my workplace, - TopicsExpress

I have just descended from the upstairs area of my workplace, where the coffee is available for all employees. We have three types of coffee available to drink - a strong name brand coffee named after an Italian city, a slightly weaker house blend coffee of another brand, and a decaffeinated version of an unknown brand. After taking the long walk upstairs to refill my coffee cup, it so happened that the decanter that contains strong name brand coffee named after an Italian city, which is the version I prefer, was completely empty, meaning the last person who obtained this strong name brand coffee named after an Italian city did not bother to make more. I went ahead and started that process myself, and watching coffee brew is extremely boring. During this process, I decided that I should go ahead and fill my coffee cup with the slightly weaker house blend coffee of another brand, but after obtaining a small amount of this slightly weaker house blend coffee of another brand, it became apparent that the decanter than holds the slightly weaker house blend coffee of another brand was also empty, meaning the last person who obtained this slightly weaker house blend coffee of another brand also did not bother to make more. Because I was already brewing a decanter of the strong name brand coffee named after an Italian city, I had to sent the slightly weaker house blend coffee of another brand next to it, so it is apparent to anyone passing by that it is in line to be refilled, once the strong name brand coffee named after an Italian city is fully brewed, and the coffee maker light switches from red to green, indicating it is ready to brew another decanter of coffee. After I finished that task, I decided that waiting for the coffee to brew, while a suitably boring task, may not be the best use of my time whilst at work, so I proceeded to fill my coffee cup the rest of the way with the decaffeinated version of an unknown brand. While I was completing this task, I wondered why anyone would drink decaffeinated coffee, as there really is no point to drinking coffee if not for the caffeine. I also wondered, as I do nearly every day when at the coffee station, who put the label on the decaffeinated coffee decanter, as it is labeled Decalf, which sort of makes me think of cows giving birth (or being decalfed), not decaffeinated coffee. One of these days, I will replace that label with an appropriate label, perhaps one that says Decaf, so I can stop thinking about cows giving birth. In the meantime, I am slowly consuming a coffee cup that contains a few drips of a strong name brand coffee named after an Italian city, a small amount of a slightly weaker house blend coffee of another brand, and a large amount of decaffeinated coffee of an unknown brand.
