I have just finished the book My Forty Years with Ford by Charles - TopicsExpress

I have just finished the book My Forty Years with Ford by Charles E. Sorensen, written in 1956. Here is a paragraph from it that I think deserves repeating here - We stopped off at Warsaw, where Perry talked with the authorities about putting a warehouse in Gdynia, the Polish seaport. Our stay was enlivened by our Fordson Polish distributor, Count Mirski, who had made numerous visits to Dearborn and had a well-established place in Warsaw. My pleasant memories of that short stay are saddened by the thought of what happened to Poland ten years later, when Hitler overan the country only to be run out later by the Rusians, and it is a question under whom the Poles suffered most. Today the Detroit neighborhood and its automobile factories shelter more free Poles than any other place on earth. They are a fine people, and the American automobile industry owes this vigorous people a deep debt of gratitude for manning its machine tools and assembly lines.
