I have just read the Prime Ministers wonderful Remembrance Day speech. I felt I had to reply as so many others did as well. I have read your speech Mr Prime Minister and I think it is most appropriate and well spoken. Not to put a damper on the occasion but rather to make a needed statement...Its time to do the right thing in dealing with our younger wounded and disabled veterans - SCRAP THE NEW VETERANS CHARTER. What a wonderful opportunity right on the heels of Remembrance Day it would be to announce the return to a full life-long support programme for veterans, the same support programme we had in place since World War I. I know the government is commited to saving money and that is commendable but not on the backs of our wounded and disabled veterans. You have made many correct choices during your tenure in pursuit of doing the right thing. Do the right thing now and take proper care of our younger vets. We have spent millions and millions taking care of people all over the world in their time of need. There is now an urgent time of need for our Veterans and the time to act is now.
