I have just seen this video of the Protest outside the Coolock Garda Station were Pepper Spray was used against Peaceful Protesters that were at the station to protest against the behaviour of the Garda for the Brutal and Violent treatment that they inflicted on the Peaceful Water Protesters in recent months. There are strict Guidelines in the use of Pepper Spray, such as they should only be used if an individual is a Threat to themselves or to others that they could cause injury. The Guidelines stress that there use should only be in extreme circumstances and no in public. I see a number of Garda out of Uniform and hiding there faces why? The Garda Sargent should not protect the Garda who used the Pepper Spray and lie in the process of trying to justify the use by stating that he was attacked. He should remind he Garda Officers that the are employed by the State to uphold the Law and not break the Law.
