I have just spent twenty two minutes of my life watching a documentary. Shoot me now. Obviously Im in no position to verify whether the stock footage and spooky music actually represent historical fact, but the overall theory makes sense, that Marxists had to figure out a way to destroy capitalist society (while not losing any of their perks like running water, toilets, grocery stores, etc.) and do it without the support of the working class that Marxists ostensibly support. Dont worry, theyll obey. There are obvious points to disagree with - Hollywood, for instance, was very libertine without any influence by the Frankfurt School - and the quality of the documentary itself makes it seem as deliberate as Orson Welles F For Fake (itself a fake documentary.) But the theory itself is compelling, and bears further study.
