I have long held the suspicion that the makers of hand soap added something to the soap that would make the rinse water look dirty to make me believe their soap was making my hands clean. Because the water looks dirty, even when my hands are clean, it makes me suspicious. Along the same line, when I clean the lint filter in my clothes dryer, I am being tricked again. If I saved all the lint, Im certain it would weigh more than my clothes weighed when they were new and they all would have disappeared by now.
