I have many memories of growing up, the good, the not so good, and the wallpaper. While in high school, my parents opted to apply wallpaper to our dining room walls. The project ended in disaster, with my parents nearly splitting up. Even before my mom made her transition to the world of spirit, she still winced at the mention of it. Her feelings had been very hurt. Remembering that experience, I had avoided wall paper hanging. I love my husband so much, but still, we all have our limits... Last week he asked me if I would, gulp, hang wall paper with him in our sons room. Silly, I know, but I felt a little nervous. Thinking of my mom, realizing that her spirit was with me, cheering me on, I told him, This will be fun, I have no doubt! At that moment, a huge, bright butterfly flittered up to the window, danced playfully for a moment, lighted on a nearby rock, then, as my husband started applying the glue, flew on!! I was breathless, almost tearful. Love lives on! I would like to say the wallpaper looks perfect; it does not. But it was a project that we took on together, an experience to laugh about, and a moment to remember that no matter what, Love conquers all. Love conquers all.
