I have many thoughts that go through my head. I like to describe - TopicsExpress

I have many thoughts that go through my head. I like to describe it as a jar full of lightning bugs just swirling around in a frenzy waiting for the lid to open. So when one does get out I like to share it with you. Now believe me, I am no genius, actually very far from it. but I like to think I have become wiser as I have gotten older. So maybe I will be a genius in another 50 years! I would like to draw upon my experience in life and tell you what I have learned. If you read this and find it useless I at least thank you for reading, if you find it interesting good, if you find it thought provoking great, however if you find it helpful then I am grateful. I like to talk about words. Yes words! We (and that include me) have a tendency to use words without regard for how they can effect other people. We say things and express our thoughts in words that may produce negative emotions in others. Now I must admit you should be honest when speaking with someone. Because and idiot is an idiot no matter what. But you know as well as I, we use words to criticize more than we use them to encourage. but we can learn to criticize others while at the same time encourage them, thus we can use our words to create positive emotions in others. First I think we should choose our words wisely, especially when we are angry, upset or emotional. This is a time when we say things we often regret. But once something is said it cannot be taken back and even though we know we did not want to speak them there is some basis of truth in them or we have a slight belief in what we say because we were thinking it in the first place. I have learned to tell people how I feel only if what I have to say will be an encouragement to them and I truly believe what I am saying. I also like to find the good in others, it is there if you look. But remember what Mom would tell you > If you cant say something nice then do not say anything. Very sound advice. Think about it how do you feel when somebody criticizes you? I also know there are times that we have to make criticisms, but we can do it in a positive way. Start by thinking before you speak, choose words that are no harsh or degrading, start off by telling the person you appreciate their efforts and then make remarks that point out the area of concern and make sure it stays on point. this is the negative part of the of YOUR POINT OF VIEW, then follow it up with how the person has been a positive impact to you in someway. again choose words that are bright, cheerful, and uplifting. If you want your life to be surrounded by positive people then you too must be positive, or otherwise why would positive people want you in theirs. Final Paragraph: Some of my friends on facebook use this space as an outlet to express themselves in some strange and unusual ways Some use foul and abusive language and some have a point of view completely different from me, But I must say my friends on facebook have expanded my vocabulary, help me to see the world from a different perspective and most of all given me friendship.I have some great friend on facebook.
