I have mentioned before that I have respect for cops. I think they have a dangerous job. I appreciate their service to society. I also believe that many cops have created a bad name for cops. I remember a time in my life when I wasnt intimated when a cops car was near. I remember a time when police departments didnt ride around in military armor vehicles. I remember a time when I had total trust in cops. Today, because of the actions of a few, and by few I mean 10%, many people, including myself look at cops differently. I have seen behavior by cops on the pickets line that was actually causing violence. I have been pushed, shoved, called names, and charges filled against me for standing up and showing support on picket lines, trying to persuade the rich coal companies to share a little profit in wages and benefits to the working miners. Many cops I dont trust. I could actually place some names on this post, but this is not the purpose of this post. The only actions that would lead to, is me being harassed. So yes, I respect a cop that does a good job. For those who bully, kill, rough people up, for those who lets that uniform go to your head, I have no respect for you. I wish everyone would video tape all cops when a cop stops them, for what ever reason. The bad ones has gotta go. Enough is enough.
