I have mixed feelings about this. I agree with many points. I agree with the fact that we shouldnt enable helplessness with our children. On the other hand, blowing things off as boys will be boys often times contributes to the issues in society. Because oftentimes just by human nature, those boys (and girls) can be cruel. So lets teach out children to be independent and equip them to handle their own problems (although there may come a time when you need to step in), but also lets teach our kids to be respectful and kind to each other knowing that they are not going to necessarily like everyone around them. Thats one thing some of the younger generations have lost along the way. That being cordial to someone you dislike is being fake. Its not fake, its respect for others. Rant over.
