I have moved Phases 1 and 2 of my N-scale Union Pacific Evanston - TopicsExpress

I have moved Phases 1 and 2 of my N-scale Union Pacific Evanston Subdivision layout in pieces from the garage where I built it, up to the train room where I have re-assembled it. The next step will be to paste the screws and joints in the backdrop and then paint it sky blue, darker at the top and lighter at the bottom. I have laid all of the track on the lower level — representing the “off-layout” destinations of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Ogden Utah — and in the helix. I have also installed the feeder wires. I have ordered more Kato Unitrak for the upper level (Green River, Wyoming). In the photo, you can barely see an SD-60 with covered hoppers about the descend the helix, heading “east to Cheyenne.” Later on, I will build the benchwork for Phases 3 and 4 which will take trains “west from Green River to Ogden.” The lower level is 48 inches above floor level and the upper level is 56 inches above floor level. The train room measures 12 feet by 10 feet.
