I have never been as proud of the Internet and all its works than I was when I found out there was a Book Challenge. The objective is to make a list of ten books that have had a great impact on you, and, I assume, thus promote reading. Naturally, Ive left the Quran out of this, and exempting only one book seemed to be a useless distinction, so Ive restricted the list to fiction. Elsewise, this would have been considerably different. In no particular order: 1. The Counte of Monte Cristo, Alexander Dumas. 2. To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee. 3. A Game Of Thrones, and A Storm of Swords, George R. R. Martin. 4. Paradise Lost, John Milton. 5. The Odyssey, Homer. 6. Dracula, Bram Stoker. 7. 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Jules Verne. 8. Dubliners, James Joyce. 9. The Complete Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. 10. The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, R. L. Stine. 11. The Sonnets, Shakespeare. I know there were supposed to be 10, but that was hard enough as it was, so 11 it is. ;-; Thank you for the nomination, Ali. I nominate Hadi, and Ghani. Theres a dirth of people I know who read, visibly. I also nominate Hamza, just to watch him flounder. Anyone else who wants to do the challenge is welcome. And, uh, dont ask about the Goosebumps in the middle. xD
