I have never believed so strongly that God has a plan for me as I do right now. As I come very close to recieving my first associates degree, its days like this that really humble me and force me to look at how far Ive come and everything I have accomplished in the last three years alone. I put my dream of becoming a pastry chef on hold as I learned my college of choice was to lose its accreditation, putting me in a position to pursue my business degree earlier than planned and forcing me to step way out of my comfort zone to pursue out of state colleges. Im now going to be graduating with a current 3.88 GPA. Iv been lucky enough to have done so without taking out any loans or borrowing any money of any kind. Im a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society who has nominated me for the international scholar laureate program providing me the opportunity to go to Australia and New Zealand. Iv been recommended for ccbcs honors program by three seperate proffesors and Ive now been recommended to try out for the honor of being the presidents distinguished graduate and speaking at the graduation ceremony. And to top all that off Ive finally recieved my acceptance into the pastry program at the Art Institute of Washington. Stressful days aside, I have not only a job but a role in the church that allows me to touch the lives of hundreds of our next generation and their families. I have a great family and the greatest best friends any one could ask for as well as a loving boyfriend who knows just how to keep me moving forward on the path im taking whenever I start to doubt my decisions. I could never be grateful enough and I know things will only get better as I move on to new places.
