I have no ambition to govern men; it is a painful and thankless office. Thomas Jefferson That is how public service was designed to be, a formidable task that that involves sacrifice. But our elected officials have turned it into a financial opportunity. They serve for themselves not for the people. End the existence of career politicians. Make the task less of a financial reward. Pay the average salary of the common american. Give them the same medical insurance as their constituents. Then they will not be motivated to be constantly re-elected unless they truly want to give their life for the country and its people. Capitalism is a great incentive for increased productivity but it also breeds corruption and greed. We the people have to always stay the vigil as we monitor our politicians and Big Business. Corruption in the act of representing the people constitutes being a traitor and punishable to the same degree. GIVE ME LIBERTY THAT I EARN AND DESERVE PROTECT MY OPPORTUNITIES BUT REQUIRE MY ACTIVE PARTICIPATION GIVE ME A GOVERNMENT THAT IS ONLY LARGE ENOUGH TO SERVE AND PROTECT THESE LIBERTIES! neither side, democrats or republicans, are good for america. Both sides are full of BS and lie about the other side in an effort to win your support. The gullible public continues to believe their lies and re-electing these traitors. 8BobLand3
