I have no idea what the context of this video is. But it reminded me of when my teacher did something similar to me in Science class and smacked the side of my head a few times. I was an good student. I didnt say a word before he did it. I didnt say anything after he did it. He claimed he was demonstrating something. I just sat there with tears stinging in my eyes refusing to let him see me upset. I dont pretend to know how difficult it is to be a teacher. And I am thankful to know so many phenomenal, supportive, progressive and loving teachers. I do not know any teachers today who use shaming as a teaching tool. I *do* know that if I was as mentally strong back then as I am now, Mr K would have received a swift kick to the nuts, too. The kids will never remember the lesson the Russian teacher taught that day. I have no idea what the context of this video is. I just know it doesnt matter.
