I have no problem with it. In my opinion, we forget to see the immense maturity of Lebron the man, husband, and father. I remember clear as day sitting in 8th grade watching Lebron in a St. Vincents St. Marys jersey sky whilst pulling the basketball down to what seemed to be his ankle before throwing down a sick dunk. JayZ and Allen Iverson even attended to witness. Once again In my opinion, ages 15-22 are critical in the development of a man. Most never fully develop. You see a male can be an extreme hot head during those years. Lebron managed it all. He followed his heart and never lost sight of the game he loves. Furthermore the game I love. He never once got into any trouble off the court and he has always fulfilled his contractual obligations. In 2014 that says a lot for a 18 year old that walked across the stage during his high school graduation with a 95 million dollar contract from nike before he was even drafted. I can respect his decision. Now in all seriousness Lebron, please stop off somewhere and pick up some help defense and fundamentals before you land in Cleveland. True fans and true students like myself thoroughly enjoyed watching the spurs whip up on the heat because they played team basketball. It feels like players dont value active hands and the importance of not getting split or allowing your man to drive middle. If the ball gets behind you shouldnt you sprint to fill in the lanes? I remember staying outside every night shooting free throws and working on driving with my left hand. When my parents forced me to come in and shower for bed I would take my basketball, clean it up, and it would go to bed with me. Jumping out of the gym is cool, but a possession where all 5 players touch the ball is art work. Its beautiful. My only appeal to Lebron and the league is bring fundamentals back. Play the game the right way. If I wanted to watch isolation offense with no defense I would play xbox. Lastly, as I close my eyes I think back to the day MJ drove right hard and with the softest left hand nudge crossed up the Utah defender to sink a game winning Jumper. More importantly I think back to the game John Paxson caught fire off the Chicago Bulls teams assists in the early 90s to win a Championship. Basketball needs an awakening. I hope you see it and feel it too Lebron. Because right now, it is in a dismal free fall. Sincerely, A fan of basketball teams. There are not many TEAMS for me to root for now a days.
