I have not forgotten. I was at the world trade center a couple - TopicsExpress

I have not forgotten. I was at the world trade center a couple months before this happened for my sons 6th grade school trip in June 2001. it was a foggy night so we almost did not go in and up to the observation deck. But with alot of persistence we all agreed we wanted to. I have a few pics but i will have to find them. on sept 11, 2001 I got a call from my friend, asking me if i had the tv on, and she told me to turn it on right away, i did so just as the second plane hit.. i could not believe my eyes. shock did not begin to describe my feelings. Sadness, hurt, anger, sorrow, and as i watched the new unfold and the next plane hit the pentagon,, I got scared for I did not know what would come next. I began to pray for the people in these buildings. that were so close to home for me.. and knowing that my nephew did not live far from this horrible event i began to worry.. texting to make sure he was ok. which he was.. and his office was not far either and the relief of his safety was a gift from God. But as I continued to watch,,, my stomach sank when I watched one by one, these buildings that I had just been in a couple months prior,, fall to the ground.. Oh no, I cried.. Lord Jesus.. what is happening... It took along time for peace of mind to return to me.. But it has left many confused and hurt, widowed and widowers, father less, mother less, siblings died, bosses died, firemen died, daughters, sons died. grand parents died. many left with scares that will never be healed. Inside and out... Yes that was a day that I will never ever forget. But i am so thankful for all that did survive. That can live with a testimony of life. LETS NEVER FORGET AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THEM WHO SUFFERED whether in life or in death due to this senseless act of violence.. God bless you all...
