I have not participated in the daily thankful on here this year, because this year has been so eventful for our family with my moms stroke that the past 7 months have been a whirlwind. But i would like to say that it has taught me so many other things to be thankful for than the obvious that I always took for granted, like being able to see, get up and go to the bathroom without assistance, take a bath without assistance, drive, walk, cook, read, work, clean my house, all this was taken away from my mom on March 26 without warning, and she has been a trooper. They installed oxygen yesterday due to pneumonia. I am thankful that I still have my mom, and I am thankful for the home health nurses and doctors that are making her life a little better and thankful for Starla Mackey for helping take care of her. Sometimes God has a way of putting things in perspective for us.
