I have not told many people this till now. It will be 2 years on April 25th 2014 that I had my left - knee replaced. While in the hospital I choked on water while drinking it to take medication. While drinking the water and began to swallow my throat closed and would not open. I could not breath. I could not talk. I was sitting up in the bed when this happen. I had not just woken from my sleep. All I could do was grab my throat and lip Please Call my Mother. Then when the nurse could not read my lips I just prayed. Dear Lord, Please let me live. I am not sharing this for sympathy, empathy, or to make others feel bad. Getting as far overweight as I had as one - time and smoking are the direct cause of this. My advice. Try to lose weight and stop smoking cigarettes. I am at 181.8 pounds as of this morning. At one - time in 1994 I weighed 335 pounds. This is day two of not smoking cigarette of using any other form of nicotine. Good night and have a wonderful morning.
