I have often thought, Why love someone, your entire life knowing that they or you will eventually die, leaving the other alone? So imagined my life without her being there. No warmth of a home shared, no memories of holidays together. Nobody to care about my cuts, aches, illnesses or losses. A life spent alone, where the only person to care about me is me. No hand to hold, no hair to brush, no eyes looking lovingly into mine. No building trust or listening to rain together, cuddled up watching movies. No yard buddy to cut flowers or branches. Nobody to call when I miss them so much it hurts. Nobody that remembers as much about me as I do about myself because she was there with me. Then I realized that it is likely that the universe and our creator being fair which I believe they ultimately are, would never want to break the bond between two people that just make sense being together. A bond that has loved others, provided for others and shown kindness to many. A good compound of two elements that complete one another. So I believe in bonds that can never be broken, by death, by life, by anything, and in this train of thought I found my answer. Whether we be dust, spirits, the wind or the rain we will always, always be together.
