I have only been to Carbondale 2 times. The 1st time was to play a show. The show and everything that book-ended was great but the drive back was a hell that almost erased all that brought the previous joy. On our 2nd trip I was probably pretty hesitant to smile. I probably had my nose buried in a map trying to understand where our last adventure went wrong. I am still mad at Carbondale. My girlfriend\now wife was driving and we were going to see her friend Kim who worked at a local radio station. This trip went well and we had entertainingly happy visit. The one thing that stands out was what I believe was a promo for this record that Kim put on. Song after song I was in awe. Musically I really couldnt focus on any parts or riffs. It seemed a barely in tune buzzing jangle that was completely intoxicating. Thanks Kim! We ordered our own copy soon after and got to see them a few times. Another of the best live bands I have experienced.
