I have plenty of these around where I live. There is a pond nearby with a very small, but very deep branch running alongside it and these little dragonflies love to perch on leaves all alongside the branch. I guess it must be the moisture they are liking. Funny thing is, they are evenly spaced out and all pointed in the same direction. Looks like a little military group of dragonflies. My father calls them snakefeeders. He says that Native Americans always used to say where you found one of these you found a snake and that dragonflies would feed snakes occasionally. Dont know if thats true or not, but interesting.

I just feel I ought to put this out there as one who has struggled
