I have posted several items concerning Isalm lately, and if I have offended anyone, I apologize as my intent was to inform. For the record, I once had a Muslim friend where I worked at in Dallas. She was a very nice young lady from Egypt. She was highly educated and came to the US with her husband. Unfortunately, he was very cruel to her. She often came to work with bruises. Everyone knew what was going on. She got up enough courage to leave him with only the things she could carry, but before she could make it back to her apartment, it mysteriously caught on fire and burned everything she owned. He returned to Egypt. She often cried at how desperately she wanted to go back to Egypt to be with her family but she had been earned by her husband that if she stepped one foot into Egypt he would have her killed by the religious police...and she believed him. He also threatened her family. Im saying this to point out that while we find these types of brutes and thugs among our own people here in the US, it is a shame that women in many middle eastern countries must live with the fear that their husbands can have them killed by the religious police. Christians, please pray for the safety of these women and that one day those who live in darkness will come to faith in Christ.
