I have pretty severe neuropathy in my thighs of all places {among others} due to TRAM Flap reconstruction following my bilateral mastectomy 13 years ago. A short course of tamoxifen contributed no doubt but I am not alone among TRAM survivors with neuropathy issues... Any insight on this? BTW.. I would suggest the TRAM to no one. BC didnt get me but the reconstruction almost did.. - Dana Hopkins It is interesting because this is surgical induced neuropathy which is not talked about enough. I am used to hearing about it in the mastectomy scar or reconstructed breast including phantom nipple sensations but not in the donor tram site. You might want to see a neurologist to see if they can inject the spot that gives you pain. If it is just general numbness, then I am afraid you are out of luck. - Susan Love of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation
