I have read Matthew 10:34-37, my pastors through the years have talk about these scriptures. In the last days homes will be divided, parents against children, siblings against siblings and vice versa, it goes on. But Jesus said, 34“Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35“For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW; 36 and A MAN’S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD. 37“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38“And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39“He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it. Woe.. I read these scriptures and said, what? I read it several times thinking about it. Why would Jesus do this? The cross of Jesus Christ offends the world. Now doesnt that ring a bell. We have Atheist, Muslims, and non-believers who does not want to hear or have anything to do with Jesus. You are either for the cross, or offended by it. Paul said, But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the World. (Gal.6;14) In what do you boast? Are you more thrilled with our sporting events than Jesus Christ? The Bible says, You shall have no other gods before Me....(Deut.5:7) This has been on my mind. Family is very important to me, but I see Matthew 10:34-37 in my own family, and apparently by watching this world, my family is not alone. If we all would give Jesus Christ the Glory due His Name, our life would be so much better. The cross divides every family, every nation, and every race. In reading these scriptures, it really hits all of us... Colton Burpo says if we die old, we will have a young body he says about in our 20s or early 30s. Fact: In some research, they found out that our DNA stops aging at 32 years old. To tie into what Jesus says, Colton says that we are too attached to the things of this world, and until we can let those things go, we cannot go to heaven. Colton was about four years old when he saw heaven, and here is an update. He is 15 years old now.
