I have realized through observation that momentary happiness is - TopicsExpress

I have realized through observation that momentary happiness is fleeting and the pursuit thereof is fruitless. What do I mean and how do I combat it? Let me define. I love Football, particularly the Kansas City Chiefs, The Kentucky Wildcats, and the University of Notre Dame. But as you can quickly determine, those teams do not always win, so I cannot be that type of fan. I cannot boast when they are successful, nor can I pout when they are not. I can only enjoy the experience that is provided, and look forward to the next game. I love Stock Car racing, particularly at local short tracks. I support drivers who I know and enjoy when they succeed, but I do not fault them for losing or others for when they dont. It is, afterall, imperfect humanity commandeering vehicles that are designed, manufactured, and assembled by the like, pushing the limits in a confined space. Something will and often does happen. Yet I return weekly to smile and enjoy the successes of all who compete. I am bad at golf, but I do not blame my clubs, my spikes, or my polo. I am bad at guitar, but I love to hear the strings. I am mediocre at the drums, but I love just keeping time. What I guess I am saying is that I dont have temporary pursuits for my lifes goal. I dont want to miss tomorrow, because I over did today. I want to taste, to touch, to feel, to laugh, to cry, to smile, and to learn. I do not want to over indulge or over consume. there is enough life to go around for us all. I want my words to be wise and insightful, to bring laughter, and to invoke thought. I want everyone to know and be happy, to bless and be blessed. And most of all I want love for everyone to be abundant. If not for love, then what?
