I have said that non distribution of OMR and Commission Copy of AC timely is a big issue and late distribution eats actual time of exam. To Abhishek Ranjan Singh, it sounds ridiculous that SSC has no control over exam centres- but read what I had written- SSC does not have control over them like Election Commission. We conduct exam with co operation and support from Distt. Admn. and School/colleges. I understand anguish of such candidates and that is why in my all meetings and visits on schools, I have repeatedly appealed to even invigilators of each room without fail that please distribute OMR sheet and Commission copy of AC atleast 30 min. before start of exam. Even some invigilators had not detached Commission copy of AC which are printed 2 on 1 page. I asked them to detach them and distribute so that second candidate is not to wait for completion by first. It has also been mentioned in Guidelines for Centre Supervisors also. I also ask Inspecting Officers also to ensure these things. But all centre supervisors/invigilators are not equally serious and some of them take exam of SSC as a burden which they have taken due to fear of Distt. Admn. We can write to Distt. Admn. for these lapses but Distt. Admn too dont have so much manpower to attend such issues promptly and strictly. However such incidents are only 1%, though this 1% should also not happen.Similarly, invigilators sometimes do not understand meaning ringing of bells and distribute/take back OMR/question papers after/before time which results into disadvantage to candidates. When new Guidelines were being prepared by SSC, I suggested to keep bell minimum- One for start and one for finish so that nobody is confused. I dont want to argue with those who do not appreciate the facts, but I would suggest to all that when you face such problems, insist that procedure is this and ask invigilators to see Guidelines for Centre Supervisor and guidelines for invigilators which have come from SSC.You may also talk to Inspecting Officer deputed by the Commission but remember, keep your mind cool otherwise your performance may be affected.
