I have seen a few videos on the ALS ice bucket challenge, and like always there will be those who post to discourage doing it and just donate instead. This is not just because i have done it, but in my opinion if everyone who are aware of it right now just donate and dont do the challenge, the awareness drive will just stop here and now. A lot has been said about doing good works and donate quietly without getting any attention to your good deed and i agree to some extent. It is good, but only for you, not too good for the recipients of your donation. I have learned in my involvement with Reach Out Malaysia that publicising it is more important for it brings in more donation and volunteers. The recipients will receive much more than if its just you doing it quietly. Its not about us, its about the cause, no matter what they say
