I have seen and witnessed great Leaders in Greece, Italy, Japan, Thailand, portugal and in several countries resign in time of crisis like what we have. Not because they wanted to but because they were patriotic about their nations and they have a common goal that their countries welfare and interests come first before their own. They willingly passed on the button of power to the other, unshamed, having known that they tried their best but their best was not enough to move their countries economies forwad. So for the sake of their nations progress they step down. No one will take you as failure Mr president if you could do the same. This is about malawi, its never about dpp, mcp, pp or udf. Its about peoples plight that is at stake here. You will be regarded as a national hero, a leader who put his countrys interests before his own. Someone who saved the country from going under. Do the honourable thing Mr president address the challenges, make yourself visible to people that you swore to serve or else resign.
