I have seen posts among the many of shock and sadness over the loss and apparent suicide of Robin Williams condemning him and his action of taking his own life due to severe depression... Yes, he was just an actor / comedian - but most of us grew up loving him and his amazing talent.. His compassion... And how he made us all laugh till we cried! To tear him down and say he was a coward, and selfish to do what he did is cruel and unjust. He like so many battled deep depression and sadness everyday.. Some over come it.. Some cannot because it becomes so overwhelming to deal with .. The thought of living with it one more day is more than they can bear.. Unless you have ever been there, and had that state of mind- you can never ever possibly understand. His death is a huge shock , and has made the world heartbroken. The only small amount of good that could come from this sad news is that maybe Depression / severe depression and people who continually suffer from it in silence will be brought to the forefront and taken seriously.. I myself have been in that mind set for all accounts should not be here... So- to all of you who would say he was a coward and he was selfish.. You cannot and understand, and you should be more compassionate in your words .. For you obviously never know who is battling that darkness.
