I have so much to say my thoughts are going through my mind much - TopicsExpress

I have so much to say my thoughts are going through my mind much faster than I can type. You see, my lack of sleep is not helping things either, so I guess this is where I will start explaining. This weekend Brandon and I took a road trip for a soccer tournament in New Jersey on the border of PA. We were actually just ten minutes from Philadelphia. Last night as we sat eating dinner at The Ale House, Brandon says, Lets just get in the car and drive there (meaning Philly) and drive back, so we can say weve been there! This, after a 5 hour drive Friday night in the Jersey traffic, two games Saturday, and the kid still wants to get in the car and go for a drive to Philadelphia just so he can say weve been there??? Let me get this straight, or let me set all you reading this straight, as usual, my co-pilot slept half of the trip to NJ, so a ten minute leisurely drive to Philadelphia in the car on Saturday night is nothing to him! He probably would have been asleep by the time we left the restaurant parking lot! Trust me! I will say this about my co-pilot, he sure does appreciate my chauffeuring him all over the Northeast or should I just say New Jersey lately. He woke up when we were just getting out of all the traffic on the NJ Turnpike and says, Thank you for doing this! You sure are a dedicated and loyal mom! You are officially a soccer mom! I laughed! I know I should have said more, but the fact that after all these years of what I thought were pulling duty of being a soccer mom, this past weekend I was officially proclaimed The Official Soccer Mom. Brandon is one kid that appreciates the little things in life and is always saying thank you. Makes these trips worth every second, every mile and every dollar spent! Now to how I was woken up this morning at 4:00am to the sounds of Brandon puking over the side of the hotel bed! Yes, you heard me. I cant make this stuff up! I jump up and I dont know why, but I guess my only excuse was that I was still half asleep, but I said, Are you throwing up? Of course he was, Laurie!! Do you think he is able to answer you? I run for the bathroom to grab a garbage can to catch whatever is left. Let the games begin....and I am no longer talking soccer! Just yesterday at his games, myself and a few other parents were discussing the holidays and puking stories of past and one mom was making fun of her husband how he will just walk out of the room and say, Handle it! I was saying how I have a gag reflex and just cant do it, but today I had no choice! I did it. Needless to say, we packed up and were on the road by 4:30 heading home. I emailed the coach with hopes he would get my message and not wonder where Brandon was for the game today. Of course it is just about an hour into the trip when I started to feel pains in my stomach. No kidding. Brandon, of course, sound asleep, and I am watching the shoulder of the highway all the way home to see where a safe place would be for me to pull over...just in case! Yup, this was my weekend, my life. (First Picture: Is of happier times and before sickness set in, Second Pic is in between games at a Dunkin! Obviously he could use some caffeine and Third pic is the sick child on way home!)
