I have some very good news to share. I went to the chemotherapy doctor yesterday for the first time. Because they caught the cancer so early, and radiation is working so well, I will not have to go through the chemotherapy that one thinks of when treating cancer. Instead of the full protocol (which would have terrible side effects), I will be only having to take one pill a day (for the next five years). I shudder at the thought of how expensive this medication is going to be, but the relief regarding my cancer is immense. Women, do not put off mammograms!
