I have something to say. The topic? Gossip. Stay with me here... I have a point I want to share. When I was a school teacher, I used to play a game with my sixth graders. Its called Telephone. I would whisper a long sentence into the ear of the first student and they would have to repeat what I said to the next student, and so on and so on. By the time it got to student number 25, the whole sentence was completely obliterated. Actually, it got corrupted when it went from student #1 to student#2. It only took ONE repeat for the story to get tweaked... My point: No matter what you think you may know about someone, its probably, most likely, 99% wrong. And even on the small chance that it is true, is it really any of your business?? Gossip destroys reputations and it destroys lives. If you dont have something nice to say about someone, dont say anything at all. If they have been mean to you, turn your cheek and pray for them, as God commands us to. Turn them over to Him and He will take care of them in His way. Pray for their salvation. Pray for their happiness. Pray for the light of the Lord to shine upon them so that He can use them for His Glory. Love God. Love your neighbor. Reel in the tongue and use it for good and not for evil.
