I have spent the last week working on paperwork for this care - TopicsExpress

I have spent the last week working on paperwork for this care package event. I get so frustrated when people who hear about the foundation say to me that they thought they all had come home or that the military provides them with everything they need. WRONG! We are supporting U.S. servicemen & women in more countries than every before, Romania, South Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Syria, Djibouti, Kuwait and Liberia this year. When I read their requests, many are living in tents, some with electricity, some without. They are asking for baby wipes because they dont get to shower. They may miss chow because of their work schedules, if they are even near a mess hall. They are looking for food to carry them through their missions. Many dont have access to a PX or it stocks 5 toothpastes for 100 men & women. The way they describe getting a care package is the same as parents describe little kids on Christmas morning! They even ask for boots, gun cleaning equipment, rifle scopes, etc. Just wanted to share what they give up to keep us safe! Most importantly, keep them in your prayers!
