I have strongly mixed emotions about this. The stated cause is worthy and worthwhile, but the statement about Special Education Week is either a hoax or is very outdated. Evidently this post (or a similar post) show up regularly on Facebook. Perhaps every week should be "Special Education" week, but so far as I can tell, there is no actual "Special Education Week". . One concern is that people may be deluded into making contributions to organizations with a phony agenda mainly intended to get donations. . The primary source of my information was from an evidently legitimate site (but it was so loaded with popups and other difficulties that, despite being a legitimate site, I am reluctant to share the url). . What I will strongly recommend is that any of my Facebook friends who have an opportunity to support Special Education needs in their local schools or say "Thank you" to a Special Education worker should take that opportunity. . But beware of hoaxes.
