I have such a heavy heart this morning. Two things are weighing on me. First, without details, please just pray for my sweet Grace. Im sorry I cannot provide more but ultimately I am her mom and as much as I can, I will always protect her. Second, I find myself wishing that people, especially those closest to us would realize how their words have such a deep, deep impact on us. Yes, we ultimately choose how we feel about ourselves but to say that our parents, siblings, friends, mates dont influence that would be untrue and naive. One statement and one look was made this weekend and I have been reeling every since. Im grateful for my handsome fiance, Grant. This wonderful man has fallen in love with me for exactly who I am today. He has not one time said, if you lost weight, if you would wear your hair this way-nothing. He has instead looked at me daily and said You are so beautiful-I am a lucky man. Im reminding myself of this over and over today. Please pray with me that I would focus on the good in my life and not a carelessly made remark.
