I have to admit it, I am a movie buff. It all started in 1945 in San Bernardo, Chile, when my parents took me to the Biografo (in english was called Biograph and is and old word meaning movie theater or for a lively picture machine, which was used for screen projection in cinema halls of the 20s and 30s. Anyway, what I want to convey has to do with tonights Oscar telecast. I was very upset when Ellen announced the name of Kim Novak to present an award, I thought she was going to make a big deal about this wonderful actress from the golden age of cinema. Kim Novak was a Queen of Hollywood, beautiful, made wonderful movies, Alfred Hitchcock directed her, acted with the best leading men of that era and no big deal? Many other less known people got ovations but not for Kim. It is very sad, she deserved all the applause just for being alive. I have to admit that she was not dressed for the occasion but she deserves better. Now I feel better.
