I have to hand it to my son Michael. He has been working/volunteering 12.5 hour shifts since Monday (ending this Sunday) starting at 5:30am and ending at 6:00pm for the Reno Police Dept Explorer Program at the PGA Tour in Incline Village NV. He is volunteering his time doing parking control, crowd control, golfer/pedestrian assistance and many other duties. What is so beneficial for him is that he learns many of the duties of a police officer, he meets and mingles with high profile professionals, etc. But I think what the two biggest benefits are: he learns that people do not respect authority and how to deal with the dilemma and he gives back to his community by volunteering his time. All of the parking fees/proceeds go back into the Reno Police Dept Explorers Program for these young men and women that participate. Awesome job Son. We are so very proud of you.
