I have to make a point aware to all of you!!! Trying to save a few bucks is NOT always worth it! Especially when it comes to your children or your health!! Heres my story.. For the past 4 years since we moved here we having been using one dentist. Knowing hes not the cheapest, we did KNOW he is the BEST!! As well as his amazing staff!! Well for a few months now Conner has needed to see the dentist. Well as we all experience times can get tough especially preparing 4 kids for school. So I chose to go with a cheaper dentist who yes I personally know 2 people who have gone & had good reports. Not having a good feeling going in, I did reluctantly. They took X-ray & agreed he needed a baby tooth pulled. It was not even close to getting lose & his permanent had already grown parallel to the baby tooth. 9 shots of numbing later the tooth came out!! So now onto the root... After 45 min watching this over the shoulders of Dr & assistant I asked them to stop and I would take him to an oral surgeon if needed. Dr told me no, hes to young for that & it is giving her trouble but she would work on it some more. 😠😤 I kept my mouth shut & agreed she is the dr... 1 1/2 hour into trying to pull his root & me videoing at this time the Dr agreed to quit that he needed to see an oral surgeon. 😤😖😠 My child was in pain! Jaw hurt, face hurt, tooth hurt & of course had a headache!! Dr said she will refer him to Houston for an appointment in a few days. 😫 I said no thank you I will go see our Dentist Dr Messer!! I was shaking so upset!! My kid was angry & disappointed because I told him it would not hurt.. 😰 I got in the car & called Becky Picard at Dr Messers office. Of course my first comment was, Im so sorry, I know I made a mistake!! They said come right in!! ( NOT WAIT A COUPLE DAYS FOR AN APPOINTMENT W AN OPEN HOLE IN HIS MOUTH) So, they where ready for Conner when we got there 10 min later. Dr requested an X-ray & with in 5 minutes had the remainder of the root out!!! Then, Dr messer wanted a pan am ( I think?? ) X-ray to make sure there was no damage to his sinus cavity. It was all good!! So, the moral of the story, Go where you know & TRUST!!! And $$$ does NOT matter when it comes to the expense of your child!! And if you need a dentist see Dr Messer in Bridge City!!! Youve all seen my smile & YES HE DID THEM!!! He is AMAZING & my children ADORE him & his staff!!! Marcy Messer Brian Hudson
