I have to say..... The overwhelming joy makes it hard to breath sometimes. I stand in the tack room, looking through the barn, only to see TEN horses looking back at me calmly. Thats right, ten. Soon, hopefully, to be twelve when the addition is completed and two more stalls are added to the inside of the barn. People ask me all the time, how do you do it? Arent you tired? Isnt that too much work for one person? You have a stallion too? Three pregnant mares? Twenty acres? I couldnt keep up with that if I had a bad knee and a hurt back. Why do you even put yourself through that? Well, why DO I put myself through what, exactly? Loving eyes staring at me over stall walls? Soft nickers at me any time I move? Hollers from the stallion demanding love, brushes, and attention? The smell of horse manure, shavings, and hay? Well...... I have a lot to say at to WHY..... But havent I already?????
