I have to say a few words about a person who I do not know personally...only thru Facebook and occasionally picking up a dog from her when my schedule permits and I am needed. She works tirelessly networking the pets in her shelter. She writes bios on many so their story is out...with hopes of them getting a home. She has beautiful photos taken and shares them. She personally interacts with every dog in her shelter. She knows their name, their temperament, their story and usually without more than a seconds thought. I have messaged her to ask questions about a pet in her shelter and she always responded in a very timely manner. The hours at her shelter are adoption friendly...including weekends and the fee is affordable but not too low. She goes to the shelter to personally check on the occupants on her weekends off...even Sundays sometimes. I know of this not because I know her but because she posts non stop for the pets in her shelter. And when decision time is a must she gives a last plea. I am sure that with her compassion for them this is heartbreaking but this lady does EVERYTHING possible to get them homes first. Her name is Brooke and she is the director of the Jefferson Parish Westbank location. I only wish more would follow her lead...in every Parish, Town and State. She runs a shelter not a rescue but you would never know by her actions. Please help her share her posts and photos... Thanks, Desiree
