I have to say, it has been a long time since I have been this angered. The last week has seen appalling behavior by Maynooth Students Union and its officers. This behavior has done nothing but damage the integrity of the Unions name and bring the good standing of our University into question. Last week they stood by while two women degraded themselves on stage in the Union. At no point did anyone think to step in and end the act, even when they removed all their clothing or engaged with each other in an explicit manner. One has to ask the question, exactly what part of their anatomy were they thinking with? At this point I can no longer support the current sabbatical officers. I believe that they should, in the interests of both the Union and the University, resign their positions immediately.
