I have to share: Today I was at the post office sending some - TopicsExpress

I have to share: Today I was at the post office sending some things. At the counter in front of me was a lady with a thick Georgia accent and a big brim hat. I could only see her from behind. The man working the counter was being very rude and cold to her, I wanted to say something but I kept to myself...and she just killed him with kindness. She never once snapped back at him. She reminded me of my mom, and I thought to myself I wish there were more people like her in the world, and less like that man behind the counter... I left and went to Dunkin Donuts for a quick meeting with a client. After the meeting I stayed to finish some work...and in walked the same lady from the Post Office. Again, I only noticed her from behind as she ordered with her southern accent, in her big brimmed hat. I minded my business and kept working on my graphics. She then walked over to me, to see my son. She had the biggest smile on her face and her eyes met mine...then I realized why she had that hat on....she had cancer. She reminded me so much of my mother. We chatted for a few minutes about my son and as she was leaving she turned to me and said There should be more people like you in this world. As I write this I get the chills...because little did she know, I thought the same about her. Before she walked out she turned once more to say And dont you worry child, things are gunna get easier. I almost cried...I sing those words to my son everyday when he cries. She must have been an angel on earth, because she touched my soul. And even though she was visibly sick, she smiled so vividly...so contagiously. She reminded me of my mother
