I have to share one of the saddest moments during my visit in NOLA. I saw a girl who looked no more then 17 or 18 years old sleeping on the sidewalk in the French Quarter with her puppy sleep beside her. The next day we came across the same girl this time she was sitting up with her back against the wall and you could see she was high on something. I couldnt resist so I walk over to her and ask in a low voice sweetie why are you out here like this...can you go home? No she said I cant. And she said in a voice that let me know home was not as safe as the streets were. I felt so helpless...I knelt down and whispered to her that I understood and there were plenty of times I felt the same way. I gave her a few dollars and told her dont let your situation define who you are and my blessings and walked away....the imagines of her have been with me since. dont let your situation define who you are This could have been a scam, I dont know and frankly I dont care but I asked God to look out for her.
