I have to share this from The Shop My Closet Project in response to our post: Lessons from the Government Shutdown. #veryinsightful Lets get #seriousaboutsaving. In the past year Ive met people whose homes burned down (fires in Colorado) and who were flooded out due to the floods in Colorado. I had been getting more an more on the savings band wagon in the past year but the Shutdown has pushed me way over the edge. When the U.S. Government (that has plenty of money) shuts down and basically threatens to crash the world economy or at least put us back into a Recession people need to wake up. No one will take care of you but you. Its a hard, hard lesson that we all have to learn. The relative who you think has money-might be living check to check and they may say no when you ask for some help. Not because they dont want to help, but that they are unable to.
